Stock Market Software

Anyone who is trying to make their fortune on the stock market may be interested in learning about stock market software. There are a number of different types of software which are designed for stock market investors; some will offer you tips on which stocks are profitable for that day. Other pieces of software will allow you to track the performance of your current investments over time. This will make tracking your investments much easier than if you were to do it by hand.

Choosing Stock Market Software

There are so many different pieces of stock market software on the market that it can be very difficult to know which one to choose. You will need to spend time differentiating between all of the different pieces of software on offer so that you can choose the best one for your needs. There are some important tips to make choosing reliable trading software much simpler and easier.

Your Trading Guarantee

Whenever choosing any software you should first ensure that it has a full money back guarantee with it. This will ensure that if you really cannot use the software then you will be able to get the money back. The money back guarantee will allow you to test your trading software properly and then decide whether or not it’s for you.

Software Reputation

Stock Market SoftwareIt’s always a good idea to choose a piece of stock market software which has been around for a long time. This will ensure that you’re choosing a reliable piece of software which will be able to do everything you want; it will also ensure that the software is stable.

If the software has been around for a long time then this should also mean that the software will be around for many more years to come. There’s no point investing in anything if it’s not going to be around for much longer anyway.

Technical Support

Technical support is another area that you must consider in your Stock Market Education. If you ever have any trouble using the software then you should be able to phone up the company and get some help. Many of these trading software’s also have active communities using forums which can be a great way to get some assistance or technical support if needed.

Stock market software can simplify your investments in the stock market but it can’t ensure that all of your trades are profitable. Ensure that you never risk any more money than you can justify losing.

I am hoping that one of your posts will include a list of your top 10 stock market software and your rating for each of them and why.

Stock market software is useful for trading but choosing the one that suits you best takes a bit of research, I agree that technical support for whichever programme you choose is really important, as well as a money back guarantee.

I especially like the comments concerning a software guarantee and technical support. However, I think the idea of paper trading and following your trades manually might give you a better idea of how you’s like Stock Market Software to work prior to even looking at what software is available. It might help you narrow down the field once you do feel you’ve reached the point where you do need software.

To me a Stock Market Education means that you actually have developed an understanding of how things work and this is best done by getting your hands dirty, even if it’s only paper trading.

I totally agree with you Don. The software we use insists we do at least 3 months paper trading before putting our money in. This allows us to practice using the trading platform as well as gives us time to trade lots of different markets periods.

Good points Don. I like the idea of doing paper trading as a means of learning, testing and being involved initially without buying shares before really knowing what it’s about and how to make sound decisions.

Stockmarket education.com.au here is going to be a good source of reliable iinformation I think

Hi Don,

I do agree with you . Before you get a software you need to understand what you are actually doing, otherwise you won’t know if the software is helping you or not.

But once you understand the principals I am sure that some kind of stock market software will be needed as a tool in todays world of information overflow.

There are a multitude of software programs available on-line.. It pays to take your time and check out many….A free period of use is normally available for you to evaluate them..

Best to take your time as it involves a hefty investment.

Stock Market Software..
A very interesting, important, and difficult subject.
I think “Stock Market Education” has done well here in this article.
It can be easy to forget the basics, the foundation, of what you must have.

Then it comes down to what you want from the software and seeing that it can deliver. For example: I am a technical analyst, so I want charts, and all the forecasting methodologies to apply on those charts I can get. Another person may want statistics, Company information etc… so it will be different software for each of us.
But make sure you get the necessary as indicated in this article.

We use a really good stock market software tool which actually chooses the best trades for us. All we have to do is research the company to make sure there is nothing suspicious about it and decide what strategy we are going to use. We paid a lot of money for it, but we are grateful we did as we probably would have lost a lot more.

I don’t know anything about stock market software but I think I’d really only use it to track my own investments. I don’t know that I’d use it to choose which stocks I was going to buy that day.

Still, I don’t know anything. Maybe there is stock market software out there that would pull all the information I needed to make a decision quicker and easier than I could do manually.

I wonder how Warren Buffet chooses his shares?

Hi Sean,

As you state there are many types of Stock Market Software. these are divided into two main types – Fundamental investing software and Technical investing/trading software. The selection of software will be guided by the type of investing contemplated, the features available and of course price.

Don .. I like the concept of paper trading .. bundles of it in rubber bands with $100 in the corners.

Not being a day trader I dont use any software at all…it is more of a buy and hold…is software also useful in put/call option scenario’s? I have seen a lot of talk about forex trading bots and software lately but no real results being put up by “real people”.

I’m wondering, what’s the best way to find out how old is any stock market software, how long it’s been around. How to know it’s reputation and if it will be staying around for a long time? Are forums the best means to gather this information?

Hi Sean,
I don’t think its just a matter of the software, wouldn’t it be best if i you were taught the basics in person to give you a better understanding of the program and how to use it.

I think that is the way I would rather approach any Stock Market Software,

I would imagine that stock market software would be a must have these days. You would certainly be at a disadvantage if you didn’t have it.

Considering the software’s reputation and checking the technical support that’s available are good points.
Thanks

In this day and age, you certainly would be at a disadvantage if you didn’t have Stockmarket Software. All of the points raised by Sean are good ones.
You need good technical support and I know my husband did paper trading for a long time before dabbling in the “real” market.

Hi Sean

I am enjoying reading all the comments on stock market software and it can be very tricky to decide.

I think Wal made a good point about maybe listing the top10 however maybe a blog about the types of trading would need to come first eg if you prefer day trading (Forex for instance) to night trading (E minis) or trades you can set and leave (put and call options) because the type of lifestyle you prefer will play a big part in what you trade.

Technical support is invaluable! Like any beginner, you are likely to encounter issues where you need a little assistance. Ensuring you have quick helpers on the job is always reassuring.

I am currently paper trading options and the program which I signed into offered some great software programs to assist you in discovering and placing trades. Initially I was very sceptical about purchasing them, but the value of what they can offer has now far outweighed the purchase cost. The trading I am doing is based on Elliott Waves – and there would absolutely NO WAY! I could analyse the stock market charts without this fantastic Stock Market Software!

The suggestions I really like in this blog are buying software that has been around for some time as I see that as people are obviously pleased with the product, and also a product that has good technical support.
If you know you have help you can call on with a product you are much more likely to feel comfortable in purchasing it.

Thanks Sean,

Never thought a stock market software existed. So there’s a software for everything. Thanks for this very useful information.

What’s the best software you can recommend? Be interesting to see how they look like.

Cheers

Hi Sean,

I would imagine that stock market software is very much like internet marketing software in the sense that sure you can do your market research by hand, but it will take you ten times as long. The faster you can process your data, the faster you can take action to make money.
